 Guidelines for troubleshooting common computer issues

The computer doesn't turn on:

the computer doesn't turn on or turns off

first check if your pc is plugged in, it sounds as a simple solution but it is very commun.
If it is connected check with another device if the outlet is working or just try another outlet with your pc. this happens very often were the outlet doesn't provide enough energy.
Now if it doesn't power on try checking the cable or power supply, now if this doesn't work please contact a technician because the problem might be inside the hardware.

Constant drop of network connection:

Internet or ethernet keeps dropping off

okay we have all been victims of this. This problem has a variety of problems which include hardware issues, cable disfunction, connection distance, data crashes and traffic jams. Some easy ways to fix your connection is just by 
giving a connection reset to clear caches to remove traffic crashes. you can also reset modems.
Now if your are using ethernet check the cables are well connected and not faulty.
If this doesn't work please contact a technician because the problem might be inside the hardware.

PC Has Slow Internet:

Internet is slower than usual and is really slow

disconnect your device from internet and go to wifi setting and forget the wifi connection to reset cache and connection settings
boost your ram
check your ISP
If this doesn't work please contact a technician because the problem might be inside the hardware.

PC IS Overheating:

your computer overheats very fast often and even shuts down 

there is no doubt that overheating and over processing causes shutdown. its is cleaver to know that overheating and over processing are link. So what can we do, well lates take a look at persons that overclock Pc what do they do? they have better ram and cpu and a very good COOLING SYSTEM it is key to get rid of overheating.
check your cpu fans are working
check your cpu fans are no upside down 
check cpu fan are clean and are not block by any object
If pc turn off give it time to get back to its normal temperature

Frozen Screen:

the computer isn't responding to any user command and stuck in a single view 

in this cases there is not much we can do. we have to risk our unsaved work and progress. these frozen screen are often caused by insufficient memory or data crashes.
Remove power supply
reboot 
when pc turns un try restarting so that the pc can start normally and faster again
If PC doesn't turn on please try contacting a technician because the problem might be inside the hardware.

PC CD Drive Not Working:

The CD Drive won't read the Disk

Check the  disk if it doesn't have scratches
Check disk with a working CD drive
Check Device Manager if windows recognizes the drive
Check Drive is receiving  energy
If Drive still doesn't run try reinstalling or consider replacing

Hard Drive Not Found:

System won't boot and gives error message hard drive not found

check internal connections
check if the drive is receiving energy
try booting
If Computer still doesn't boot consider replacing

Video Doesn't Work:

The monitor won't Display video

Check it is on and connected to an outlet
Check cables are well connected and working
Check if Monitors Control buttons are all okay and working
Check monitor with another PC
Check the first Pc with another Monitor 
If Monitor still doesn't show video consider replacing

Word documents are corrupted:

spread sheets are not saved

Check if files are being saved well
try reinstalling word 
use event viewer to check error with hard drive

BSOD:

Blue Screen Of Death is displayed 

this happens when a critical error occours and the system is unable to process and repair itself automatically
Restart Pc
Scan your system for viruses
Check that there is enough space for updates
Update your hard Drives
Research pc error code
Return bios settings to default
Perform diagnosis test on hardwares
